Inky Bouquet Two Ways!

Hi everyone! I'm here with a card that I shared on my regular Die Cut Diva post today, plus a bonus card only here, as usual.

Supplies: Paper - Hero Arts A2 card;
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White;
Violet Studio patterned
Stamps w/die & stencil - Altenew Inky Bouquet
Stamps - Altenew Bellaroma Hybrid Tea Rose
Other - Copic Markers; Memento Tuxedo Black ink;
DOI Tumbled Glass & Black Soot inks;
 white gel pen; Altenew Carnival Magic enamel dots

We're doing Flowers at the Divas for our April Challenge with Altenew as our fabulous sponsor. You can't go wrong with all the gorgeous Altenew floral sets available. I chose to use a fave of mine which, sadly, is sold out right now. The sentiment is from a different set which, as of when I wrote this post, was still available.

I stamped the bouquet onto Neenah with Memento ink and die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle. The Inky Bouquet set comes with a coordinating die and stencil - you'll see those later in this post. Instead, I colored the image with Copics & then stamped some dots (also from the set) with Tumbled Glass DOI; I blended the same ink around the edges. Stamped a sentiment from the Bellaroma set & added some Carnival Magic enamel dots to the panel. Adhered it to an A2 card that I'd covered with a piece of patterned paper edged with Black Soot DOI. Done!

For my bonus, I used the same bouquet stamp.

This time I colored it with various inks from the stash by blending through the coordinating stencil. I added a bit of shading with coordinating Copic colors, then die cut the image with the matching die. I added it to a rectangle of the same patterned paper as above and adhered to a Paper Studio pastel card. Added a different shade of enamel dots from the same set & then a Betterpressed sentiment from the stash (one from the Spellbinders You Are Everything Sentiments set).

I'm adding my first card to the April We Love Stamping Challenge where Anything Goes or you can use a fave stamp which I did. I'll add my bonus card to the April Flower Challenge #101 where they're doing Spring colors.

Thanks for stopping by & happy crafting! Hope to see you in the April Diva gallery!!

A Stamped Floral Wreath

Hi all - busy Sunday but I managed to finish a card for some challenges:

Supplies: Paper - Poptone Blue Raspberry;
Paper Studio orange A2 card; Neenah white;
Spellbinders Betterpress porcelain; dotted by unk
Stamps with Dies - Pinkfresh Studio English Garden (retired)
Dies - Folk Edge Rectangles (retired)
Press Plate w/dies - Spellbinders A Little Message Sentiments
Other - Copic Markers; foam tape;
Park Lane gems

I die cut 2 layers of the PFS Folk Edge Rectangles set (love!) & adhered to an A2 card. I stamped and die cut the PFS English Garden image which results in many pieces. I colored them with Copics (G00,02,05,09/Y08,18/YR09,16) and arranged the wreath along with one flower cluster, the leafy stem, & butterfly atop. Added a pressed sentiment and some gems - done! The orange paper with white dots came wrapped around as packaging when I ordered some Birch Press woodgrain paper - I always save it; comes in handy!!

Above I tried my hand at a more artful photo with some supplies, as many people do. What do you think? Here's a view from closer up:

It's been a while, so I decided to make this card for The Flower Challenge #95 where we're to include a stamped flower. It also works for the September Pinkfresh Studio Challenge where they're doing Leaves & Wreaths. Also for the We Love Stamping September Challenge to hand color an image & Inkspirational #324 where they're using markers. Thanks for the fun challenges!!

That's it for today - thanks for stopping by!

Heart Frame Love You

Hi all - hope you're enjoying the weekend! I was having a lovely day with some shopping & card making until I logged onto the computer to post my card. I just read news of some tragic shooting deaths in a suburb southwest of me in the Twin Cities - horrible! My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims. I'm sure they'll share more details during the evening news but it weighs on my heart!

Seems appropriate to be posting a LOVE card - wish there was more love in the world! I was reminded today by Hilary (Fiddling About) that she's hosting the February challenge at We Love Stamping. They're doing a Romantic or Anything Goes theme - your choice. I've been meaning to play & went the romantic route using a fave Hero Arts cling background stamp from 2009:

Supplies: Paper - Neenah Classic Crest Solar White;
Paper Studio Glitter; Hero Arts Pitch Black; Michael's A2 card
Stamps - Hero Arts CG129 Heart Frame
Dies - A Jillian Vance Design Stitched Dot Rectangle Backdrop Set;
(Love You dies in the Classic kit too but not the flowers)
Other - Copic Markers; Altenew Tea Rose Enamel Dots'
TH Distress Oxide inks - Spun Sugar & Kitsch Flamingo

I stamped the background on Copic friendly Neenah, then die cut it with a stitched rectangle. Sponged Distress Oxide inks on the edges, then colored the pattern with various red and green Copics. Gave it a black mat & adhered to a top fold A2 card. Next I die cut the sentiment multiple times, stacked & shadowed behind the glitter with black. Adhered to the card. I had a leftover white flower and some leaves from a previous card; colored them with Copics to match my background. Added a heart enamel dot to the center & added to the card - done!

I bought a kid's plastic craft tray in the Target Hot Spot last year - $5 or less. It has a nice surface with bins on either side & fits across your lap. I've been using it while watching tv - either to eat a snack or to work on crafts - very handy!! Some cable tv channel is having a Harry Potter marathon this weekend so I was watching one of the movies this afternoon whilst coloring my frame & assembling my card.

I'm also joining the current The Flower Challenge where you need hearts and flowers, plus the February Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero Challenge - "Do You Believe in Love?" I do, I do!

That's it, friends - thanks for stopping by & stay safe out there!!

Flower Bouquet for an Anniversary

Hey crafty friends - when my friend Rosemary (Hey There .... Rosigrl!) posted this beauty with a Hero Arts floral bouquet, I realized I hadn't shared the card I made on 8/15 with that image! Here's my version:

Supplies: Paper - Neenah white; Momenta watercolor print
Stamps - Hero Arts Togetherness Flower Bouquet &
Dies - A Jillian Vance Design Mini Slimline Backdrop Set;
Other - Copic Markers, foam tape

I made a mini slimline with white card stock then added a panel of rainbow blended patterned paper cut with an AJVD dot stitched rectangle. The black trellis layer came from my sister Diva Arlene (A Bit of This and That) - thanks again, Arlene!! I stamped, die cut & colored the bouquet with Copic Markers and added a few die cut leaves behind (from unknown - found in my bits box). My die cutting on the bouquet went a bit wonky so I trimmed the excess border on some areas. The sentiment comes from a 2010 Hero Arts set that continues to be available - it's in my "favorites" box in the crafty stash for all the occasions it covers. Love, love, love it!!

This card went to my dear friend-like-a-sister, Connie & her hubby who celebrated last Friday. I'd add it to Watercooler Wednesday but I've already hit the limit of 3 for their All Occasions Challenge which ends later today. But it does fit the current The Flower Challenge where I don't think I've played before. I see their sponsor is Rachel Vass who has sponsored us at Die Cut Divas - love her floral images!!

That's it for now - hope you have a crafty day!!
