I loved the sticker I used from the Authentique 12x12 x set. To me it perfectly described my Irish "family" who opened their home to me when I visited Ireland in 2014. It was fun to add a Celtic Flourish die cut that Heather had sent me earlier this year, along with the gems and pearls. Inside I stamped Happy St Patrick's Day. You can see Heather's beautiful card she sent me (with more Celtic Flourishes) in this post. Thanks again, Heather!! And thanks for taking this photo since I neglected to take one before I popped the card in the mail - sorry for the dent in the upper left - in transit damage, truly!Other - Hero Arts Foliage Mixed Accents (retired), corner rounder
No green beer for me today, nor did I go to the parade in St Paul. For the past 20 years I've watched the parade from my workplace in downtown St Paul. Now that I'm retired, I didn't have that option. Instead, my friends Connie & Doug and I went to Minneapolis to donate my old car. Yes, after driving a 2000 Buick Century since I bought it new in 2000, I finally bought a new car!!! I started looking about 3 years ago but couldn't let go of my Buick. Finally decided yesterday to "go for it". I went to the dealership Connie & Doug visited with me in January and told the salesman I was ready to buy - he tried to conceal his shock - LOL!
Yikes, so many bells and whistles that a 2000 model didn't have!! Right away I used the Nav system to find my way from the dealership to my friend Linda's RN pinning ceremony. Linda loved the congrats card I made her! The ceremony was lovely and a bunch of us went out for dinner afterwards - I used the Nav system again since I was in an unfamiliar suburb. I have leftover spaghetti & chicken parm for tonight so I won't be eating corned beef and cabbage with my Irish friends - sorry!
Hope you're having a wonderful St Patrick's Day and a have great weekend!! Thanks for stopping!
