A Green Dragon!

Hi friends - hope you had a great weekend; I certainly did!! I just arrived home this evening from Beloit WI where I attended a crafting event called Inky Escape. Offered by Inky Stamper, you checked in on Thursday night and crafted until Sunday! Each person enjoyed a 6 foot table of space for personal crafting in the meeting room. A second room held make and takes which we could do at our leisure. We also could shop at a pop-up with loads of crafty products. More on this event later but on Friday night we watched Craft Roulette Episode #340 on several big wall screens. Here's my card:

Supplies: Paper - Astrobrights Black; Paper Studio cardstock;
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps with dies - Inky Stamper Dragon
Dies - unknown mountain
Other - Trinity Stamps dots & gems;
Pink and Main inks; Memento Tuxedo Black ink;
Copic Markers; white pencil

Host Mary Gunn had Michelle Lupton (‪@michelle_lupton‬) as her guest, making her 5th appearance. The crafty roulette wheel spun four mandatory parameters:

  • Project - A7: The only full size cardstock I had was black (purchased that morning at Walmart!) so I formed an A7 from it.
  • Colors - Rainbow: I inked a rainbow background.
  • Element - Vacation: I conjured a vacation to Harry Potter Wizarding World. Anyone remember the dragons in the fourth movie?!
  • Random: Three in a Row: My dragon is guarding three eggs.

I inked a 4.5 x 6.5 piece of off-white cardstock with rainbow colors, then added to an A7 card. Stamped the dragon on green cardstock & added pencil shading, then die cut. Stamped, colored and die cut the eggs. A crafty friend loaned me the mountain die - don't know the brand. It's a small die, meant for an A2 scene, & it cuts just the top. I used it on a long piece of cardstock and shaped the edges with a scissors & trimmed the bottom to fit. Added the mountain, eggs and dragon to the card. Stamped a sentiment from the dragon set & added some gems and dots. Done! Another crazy Craft Roulette card done!!

That's it for now - I'm busy unpacking from Inky Escape & I'll try to share some of my projects.

Thanks for stopping & happy crafting!!
