Gothic Christmas Tree!

Hello crafty friends - hope you're enjoying the weekend! Mostly cloudy and 53F here but not a bad day! I'm making the most of it inside by watching crafty YouTube videos and making cards. Today I have a card for Christmas Kickstart Challenge #115 Gothic Christmas.

Supplies: Paper - Recollections A2 card and cardstock;
scrap of grey shimmer; Hero Arts black glitter
Stamps - Spellbinders October 26 Stamp/Die of the Month
Dies - Spellbinders Lit with Joy (Oct26 DOML)
Stencil - DoCrafts Strictly Christmas
Other - Crystal Stickles

I must admit, the Gothic theme threw me for a loop. But, as we like to say on Craft Roulette, all parameters are doable!! When my Spellbinders crate arrived this week, the October Large Die of the Month set (newly used here) inspired me to do a Gothic Christmas tree similar to the photo at CKC:

Thinking Victorian Gothic, I left off the electrical cord and outlet element that are included in the die set. The set also includes a detailed strip to create a background but I went with an embossing folder that looked a bit Gothic to me. I die cut all the elements, embossed the background and assembled.A sentiment from the October Stamp & Die set completed the card. Oh, and I added stickles to the light bulbs.

I'll also add my card to Darnell's October NBUS Challenge #91 since my stamp and dies are newly used. And I'll play for the second time at The Creative Crafters Challenge #105 where Anything Goes.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping and have a crafty day!!
