I watched Episode #341 on Friday night and submitted my card then; just hadn't had time to blog it until now. Host Mary Gunn had Libby Hickson (@libbyhicksoncreates) as her guest, making her 3rd appearance on the regular show. Libby was also a guest on World Card Making Day 2024. I've known Libby for many years from when she worked at Hero Arts; she's now with Pink and Main who happen to be the sponsor for our October Die Cut Diva Challenge! Please check it out if you have a shaped card!!
As usual, the crafty wheel was spun four times for the necessary parameters:
- Project - Card with 2 Folds: I made a simple gatefold.
- Colors - Planets: Blue for Earth, plus many other colors in the background fit other planets.
- Element - Beautiful: Butterflies are beautiful to me.
- Random - Wonky: I used a wonky rectangle.
I was in the mood for a quick card so grabbed a piece of leftover marbled paper from the Pink & Main Birthday Bash event earlier this year. Scored and folded into a gatefold card. I already had the butterfly in the stash. Die cut a wonky label and adhered to the left side of the gate. Adhered the butterfly & a sentiment strip - done! Since the paper is so busy, I left off any other embellishments.
Here's a view from the top:
Later I added a sentiment panel to the inside. This card is going to a Craft Roulette friend who is experiencing health issues. We have a little Caring Card Crew that sends cards when we're aware of a need. This is in addition to the birthday exchange so I stay busy!!
That's it for today, friends. Thanks for the visit and I'll be back on the 21st with my regular Diva post, if not sooner. Happy crafting!!
