Jo & her elf Monika want to see a scarf or scarves on the card. I went flipping through my stamp sets and found plenty of snowmen with scarves - decided to give the retired Hero Arts Holiday Cheer set some love. It rarely happens, but all the stamps for this card came from the same set!
I created the scene starting with the 2 trees, each stamped twice (second time after shifting the paper vertically in the MISTI). Next I added the hill stamp, snowflakes and sentiment; the sentiment was also double stamped with a horizontal shift. Die cut the panel with a rectangle. Stamped, colored and die cut the snowman, then popped into the scene.
I was surprised and excited to still find some snowflake paper left in my BoBunny paper pad - thought it worked perfectly here. Trimmed it to fit an A2 card and assembled - done! Very quick and easy, plus I stamped a few extra snowmen for future.
Thanks Jo & Monika for a fun challenge! One more Christmas card for the stash - yay! Thanks for stopping & enjoy your weekend!!
Linda, what an absolutely darling scene.
Such a cute card for the challenge Linda!
He’s a cutie! Love the simple style of the images and your colouring looks fab Linda, love it!
Such a sweet scene! I love this so much, Linda, your snowman is just darling. We had about a foot of snow fall where I live, so nothing to worry about. We're the highest point in Birmingham and always get more snow than other areas. I went to visit a friend this morning and even though she's only a couple of miles away (and down the hill) there was no snow what-so-ever! Stay warm, Jo x
What a sweet snowman, this is adorable!
You really are very good at getting on with those Christmas cards and how appropriate that you have made a snowman card when you have snow outside. We actually had snow yesterday too, so unusual and so cold. it didn't settle for long, but it is still cold. Hate it, I want spring! xx
An adorable little snowman Linda. He looks so sweet on this card. Love the way you did the trees and sentiment. Looks so awesome
don’t envy you with the snow… we had sunshine this past week and unfortunately, it’s about to end with rain. 😞
What a sweet scene! I can imagine with that kind of snow on the ground it is easier to make Christmas scenes than spring ones!
So cute, Linda! Love that sweet little snowman.
So cute and lovely!!! At the weekend we were able to enjoy the snow again, the landscape looked wonderful. But unfortunately we didn't have time to build a snowman.
I think you guys have won the snowy winter award! Absolutely love this darling card!
What a sweet hill you created for your snowman happily sitting between the two pines! Pretty DP too! Julia xx
