Love, Joy & Peace

Hi everyone - quick post today. I wanted to get a second card made for Christmas Kickstart Challenge #108 - Out of the Woods.

Supplies: Paper - Neenah Classic Crest Solar White;
Paper Studio red cardstock; Recollections black &
black glitter cardstocks
Dies - Poppystamps Nordic Deer (retired);
Embossing folder - Taylored Expressions Nordic Holiday (retired)
Other - foam tape

I embossed a stitched rectangle cut from red cardstock, matted it in black and added it to an unembossed red stitched rectangle. Adhered the panel to a top-fold A2 card formed from Neenah. Die cut the deer from black glitter cardstock and the sentiments from white with a black outline. Layered the sentiments and added to the card with foam tape. You often see this word grouping as "Peace, Love, & Joy" or "Peace, Joy, & Love" but I wanted the peace on the bottom for the deer to rest on. Oh well....

This is a streamlined deer - LOL. There's a die that cuts the two other legs but I didn't use it. I also used the more frilly antler die. While this die is retired, Poppystamps still carries the Nordic Regal Deer set. I laid the deer onto the card while placing the sentiments to get them precisely where I wanted them, then glued the deer.

That's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow with inspiration cards for our March Die Cut Diva Challenge - hope to see you in the gallery! Happy Crafting!!
