Mary's daughter Heidi, the lead singer in my retired quartet, held a brunch yesterday for close chorus friends. Here's a photo of Mary with my former quartet; I'm on the right.
Here's a photo of us from 20 years ago when we were still competing as an ensemble & Mary was our coach. Our favorite photographer Jon Petersen took this specially for us after we won a contest. We look very comfortable with our shoes off!
The whole chorus celebrated Mary (who directed for 38 years) last Monday night with a big cake and several presentations.
That's it for today, friends! I'll send my birthday card to Seize the Birthday #303 where they're doing layers as the topping. My birdie, nest and sentiment are all layered. I'll also share at Darnell's April NBUS Challenge #73 since those dies are all newly used.
Thanks for visiting!!

Love your card, Linda - birds and music are some of my favorite motifs. Loved seeing your pictures, too, thanks so much for sharing these good times!
Beautiful card!! And so fun to photos of your former quartet.
Well, you sure came up with the perfect card for your Queen Mum, Linda! So fun to see the pictures!
I agree with Greta, the perfect card for your Queen Mum Mary! That wee golden crown is darling on the pretty little bird. Thanks for sharing these photos with us, Linda. Those smiles say it all!
A beautiful card and perfect for the occasion. Hope I look as good as that at 90. No, I hope I just reach 90, looking as good as Mary would be an added bonus. Glad you all celebrated in style xx
What a special card for a wonderful celebration. Thanks for sharing the fun photos, too!
She will love her card, Linda! It is so personal and perfect for her! I enjoyed seeing the then and now photographs of you talented ladies! But, wow, genetics! If Mary is 90, she is blessed indeed because she hasn't aged a day!! Hugs, Darnell
Just beautiful Linda. I'm sure it was well appreciated.
What a fantastic card you created for your "Queen Mom", Linda! Love seeing the photo of you with your ensemble.
I am not sure what I enjoyed more your card or your post. Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us. I bet she loved your personalized card. The bird looks awesome. Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday.
But she doesn't look 90. This proves that singing keeps you young and healthy. Her card is beautifully crafted and contains everything the birthday girl loves.
I came to admire your card which caught my eye in the STB gallery, and then I see all these other lovely photos and heartwarming memories. Thank you so much for sharing all of it!
