A Sneaker for Craft Roulette

TGIF everyone! Sorry I've been MIA a lot this week. I'm excited to be participating in tomorrow's online With Love event offered by Scrapbook & Cards Today. I've been busy doing the homework for the four classes being taught by Meghann Andrew, Cathy Zielske, Dana Joy & Jennifer McGuire. I'll try to post all about the event in the upcoming week.

Meanwhile, I made time for Craft Roulette #253 which aired LIVE tonight. I managed to make a card (my 44th!!) during the show but didn't have time to photograph & upload until afterwards, oh well... Here's my card:

Supplies: Paper - My Favorite Things pink;
 Neenah Solar White; Sunny Studio Flirty Flowers;
Lawn Fawn Summertime; scraps of TH Kraft metallic;
gingham by unk
Stamps - SCT With Love Kit
Dies - Poppystamps Oval Fold Frame &
Scallop Tall Curve Border (retired)
My Favorite Things All-Star High Top
MFT says "notify" but Frantic Stamper has some HERE)
Other - 3M Post-it note

Host Mary Gunn FUNN had Norma Medina (‪@CraftsandDesignsbyNeema‬) as her guest. The wheel spun some challenging parameters but, as usual, I made them work:

  • Project - Card with 3 Folds: I made a fold-back gate fold (4 folds); you could do more than three.
  • Colors - Sweaters: I used colors from my favorite sweater (below).
  • Element - Footwear: I used a sneaker die cut.
  • Random - Post-it: I stamped the sentiment on a skinny post-it note.

I used the Poppystamps Oval Fold Frame die on a previous card for Craft Roulette. The set was still sitting by the Vagabond so I made use of it again. This time I created a belly band to hold it closed and put the sneaker on it. The sneaker die set was one I bought last year when MFT brought it out of the vault - finally using it!! I stamped the sentiment on a post-it to meet the random parameter. The pink card matches the post-it more closely in real life. Couldn't get an accurate color in the photo...

Here's a view from the top with the belly band off:

And here's a photo of my favorite sweater that inspired my colors:

Since my sneaker die set is finally getting first play here, I'll add my card to Darnell's February NBUS Challenge #71.

That's it for today, friends! Thanks for stopping by & have a crafty weekend!!

What a stunner Linda. When I saw the parameters, I thought of that die cut sneaker too. I also have another sneaker I can use too... Now just to get the rest of the parameters sorted!

Love those happy colours. I don't know how you come up with the ideas. I would really struggle xx
