Host Mary Gunn FUNN had Bitty Penny (her YouTube) as the guest. BP is a paper crafter who does a lot of unscripted craft videos on YouTube. The wheel spun some interesting parameters for us:
- Project - Card For a Craft Friend: I made a hello card for a painter friend.
- Colors - Pretty Paper: Says vintage to me so I went that direction for my palette.
- Element - Bell(s) And/Or Belle(s): School bell ephemera atop book stack.
- Random - Something Gold: Bell is gold but I also added a metallic gold strip.
I was visiting my sister and we had nothing in the stash with bells. That meant a trip to the craft store today and I found the Mintay papers and ephemera which included the school bell. I also shopped Hobby Lobby and came away with some jingle bells but I wasn't feeling a design with those.
Simply die cut a stitched rectangle and added some woodgrain patterned paper to the bottom for a "table". Inked the edges with Distress Ink. Added the panel to an A2 card covered with Mintay greenery paper, also with edges inked. Arranged the ephemera (also inked), including stacking a few books & adding the bell on top. Use foam tape on some areas for dimension. Stamped and fussy cut the sentiment & added to the card. Done!
That's it for today - hope you're having a crafty weekend!!
