Fairy Card for a Teen

Happy Saturday everyone!

Big news from Craft Roulette - as of last week's submissions, they're over 50,000 cards - amazing!! Craft Roulette #252 was LIVE last night; I managed to make a card & submit it during the show - love doing that!

Supplies: Paper - Park Lane A2 card; Neenah Solar White;
BoBunny Dotted; scraps of gold/yellow
Stamps w/dies - Hero Arts Dec 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit
My Favorite Things In Stitches Numbers
Other - Copic Markers; Hero Arts Sparkle Lacquer;
May Arts ribbon; Pinkfresh Studio Foiled Sentiments

Host Mary Gunn FUNN had Donna Lewis (@donnaisplayingpaper), an Aussie who's been card making for about 8 years, as her guest. The wheel spun us some fun:

  • Project - Card for A Teenager: I did a birthday card for a 13 yr old.
  • Colors - Morning: I used blue/yellow/gold/soft pink.
  • Element - Fairy (Fairies): I stamped a fairy image.
  • Random - Bow(s): I tied a ribbon bow for the mushroom.

I was looking for a different Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit containing fairies - no luck. Then I happened upon another one - unused since 2018 - oops. Stamped, die cut and colored the fairy & mushroom. Added sparkle to her wings. Die cut a dotted rectangle and added to an A2 card, along with a "ground" of gold (cut with a "top of drink" die). Added the fairy and mushroom, a pre-foiled sentiment and die cut numbers. Done! If I'd been taking longer, I might've added something more behind the fairy. And I might do it later :)

That's it for today, friends! I'll be back tomorrow revealing my January Card Chain project. Thanks for stopping by & have a crafty weekend!!

  1. A delightful card for a teenager. The morning colours stumped me, but certainly not for you. Amazing how you finished within the show time frame!
