Time for presents!

Hi everyone - busy weekend with the City of Lakes Chorus show!  It went so well and we had a great crowd!  We learned three new songs since Christmas break and, while they weren't perfect, I was glad they came together as well as they did.  One was a Swing Medley and we had six swing dancers performing to it, doing flips and everything - wow!  Our guest quartet was Martini, the 2012 Sweet Adelines International Queens of Harmony; fabulous singers and all-around lovely women.

Back to normal day living now and, on my Monday off, that means a Merry Monday challenge.  This week's challenge from Karren is to use a present on your Christmas card.  Who doesn't love a Christmas present?!  I have a lot of present images from which to chose but I started out by going to the Silhouette to check my inventory there.  I found this darling stack of presents that I though would make a fun card.  I started out by cutting a sheet of white images - besides the presents, I threw on some snowflakes and a tag to fill up the page before cutting.

Here's my card:

Merry Presents

The stack of presents is called Stacked Gifts (Design ID #70463) by Sophie Gallo.  After cutting it on white cardstock, I watercolored it with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and paper-pieced with Basic Grey Evergreen paper and a couple scraps of some other unknown collection.  I added lots of Stickles to the bows.  The Merry tag is from a Hero Arts Silhouette file called Large Word Tags (Design ID#50912) and also paper-pieced with Evergreen paper.  The card base is a Hero Arts celadon folded card stamped with the Envelope Liner Background (wiped off in spots) using Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!
